N.S.S. (NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEMES)
The motto of “NSS” “Not me but you” reflects the essence the democratic living and unfolds the need for selfless service. N.S.S. helps the students develop appreciation to the person’s point of view and also show consideration to other living beings. We have one unit of N.S.S. under the technical cell with strength of ……. Volunteers. The N.S.S. Unit of our college places an active role in shaping our students humane and responsible citizens. We are conducting campaign programme of seven days duration in adopted places and it provides unique opportunities to the students for group living, collective experience sharing, addressing various developmental issues of regional and national importance and constant interaction with the community.
DIGITAL LIBRARY
In order to provide access to electronic sources of information, digital library is started with a provision of 24 computer systems. The following services are available :
a) Catalogue of Project Reports submitted to the Departments of the Engineering College.
b) Browsing catalogue of Project Reports, Back Volumes of Periodicals, C.Ds., Question Papers with writing facility.
c) National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)
d) Access to free open source journals and books.
HOSTELS
The college runs girls & boys hostels within the campus. They are located amidst greenery and the rooms are spacious and well ventilated.
TRANSPORT
Our bus facilities are well connected across the Amalapuram surroundings. We cover the entire district routes to our college. Students are enthusiastic to travel enjoying in the comfortable buses.
CANTEEN
There is a canteen facility for the benefit of students, staff and visitors. Food is provided at subsidized rates. Apart from this, a fast food center, which is a part of the canteen is available.
ANTI RAGGING
Ragging of any form is strictly prohibited in AIMS. Ragging includes, but is not limited to teasing, abusing, causing physical harm or playing practical jokes on to a student. Punishment for the students indulging in the above may include.
SPORTS & CULTURAL EVENTS
AIMS gives lot of thrust in the overall development of the students. As a part of the above, vital care is imparted in promoting sport activities throughout the year. Apart from academics, the students are given enough opportunities to expose their hidden talents in sports and cultural events. The campus has a playground for outdoor games and indoor games.
